School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant | Corona, California

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant on a contract assignment for the school year. This rewarding onsite role focuses on empowering children and supporting their communication skills in an educational environment near the vibrant community of Corona, CA. You'll collaborate closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and be an integral part of a passionate, student-centered team.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license or certification (California required)
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of speech, language, and communication development
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Professional, organized, and flexible approach to changing caseloads and daily routines
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group speech therapy sessions as directed by supervising SLPs
- Implement therapy plans and support students with a variety of communication needs
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district requirements
- Assist with assessments and the development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages student's self-confidence and participation
- Communicate effectively with educators, parents, and support staff

- Weekday, school-hour schedule: 5 days per week, for a total of 37.5 hours
