School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Colorado Springs, Colorado
Make a meaningful impact on students’ communication skills by supporting speech-language therapy services in an educational setting while working as an SLPA or Clinical Fellow. This full-time, contract opportunity spans the entire school year and is conveniently located near Colorado Springs, CO. The district offers a friendly, collaborative atmosphere and is open to flexible scheduling: choose either a traditional Monday through Friday setup or a four-day week (Monday through Thursday).
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license or eligible Clinical Fellow (CF) status in Colorado
- Experience providing speech and language support to children or adolescents is preferred
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and families
- Passion for helping students achieve academic and social success
Responsibilities:
- Assist supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing therapy plans and interventions
- Deliver speech and language therapy sessions with individuals and small groups under supervision
- Track and document student progress, maintaining clear and accurate records
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insights for student progress and individualized plans
- Support SLPs in preparing and organizing therapy materials
- Communicate regularly with teachers and staff regarding student goals and services
