Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Illinois SLPA license is required
- Prior experience working as an SLPA in schools, high school settings, or healthcare is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to implement individualized treatment plans developed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
- Organized, reliable, and flexible in adapting to the needs of students and the school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to high school students under the guidance of a supervising SLP
- Assist with assessment activities and data collection to inform IEPs and progress monitoring
- Support students in developing their receptive and expressive language, articulation, and social communication skills
- Collaborate with school staff and families to optimize student success and promote carryover of skills
- Maintain accurate service records and assist with IEP documentation as requested by the supervising SLP
