Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Illinois SLPA license is required
  • Prior experience working as an SLPA in schools, high school settings, or healthcare is highly valued
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to implement individualized treatment plans developed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
  • Organized, reliable, and flexible in adapting to the needs of students and the school environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language services to high school students under the guidance of a supervising SLP
  • Assist with assessment activities and data collection to inform IEPs and progress monitoring
  • Support students in developing their receptive and expressive language, articulation, and social communication skills
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to optimize student success and promote carryover of skills
  • Maintain accurate service records and assist with IEP documentation as requested by the supervising SLP
