Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy under supervision, supporting a caseload of 50-55 students.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed by supervising SLPs.
- Travel between schools within the district based on the weekly assignment, coordinating with multiple locations to meet student needs.
- Document student progress and maintain thorough treatment records.
- Collaborate proactively with teachers, families, and school-based teams to encourage consistent support strategies.
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license required.
- Previous school-based experience or pediatric background is highly valued.
- Able to adapt therapy techniques to various age groups, primarily elementary and middle school students.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently across different school sites.
- Organized, reliable, and ready to manage multiple assignments.
- Willing to complete fingerprinting and credentialing processes, including AHCA Clearinghouse verification or new prints as required.
