Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Racine, WI
An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting students aged 3 through 8th grade in a school setting located in Racine, WI. This contract role runs from August 28 through June, working four days per week from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The caseload consists of approximately 25 students, with the potential for three students to be dismissed during the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists with therapy planning and implementation for students with speech and language needs
- Provide direct support and intervention under supervision to students from preschool through 8th grade
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports on students' communication development
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support individualized education goals
Required Qualifications:
- Valid DPI License 1820 - Speech and Language Pathology Assistant credential
- Experience working with children ages 3 to early adolescence in a school environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of multiple students and adjust support plans as needed
