What you’ll need:
- Valid SLPA license or certification
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to implement treatment plans under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassion and patience when working with children of diverse backgrounds
- Adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
Your daily impact includes:
- Carrying out speech and language therapy activities as prescribed by the supervising SLP
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting students individually and in small groups to improve communication skills
- Collaborating with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy goals
- Assisting in the development and preparation of therapy materials
- Participating in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings as needed
