Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or certification, meeting state requirements
- Previous experience in a school-based setting highly preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and record-keeping skills
- Ability to follow IEPs and therapy plans as directed by supervising SLP
- Collaborative approach and adaptability in a busy school environment
- Enthusiasm for supporting diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist in conducting screenings, assessments, and progress monitoring
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communication activities
- Support classroom teachers with language enrichment strategies
- Contribute to IEP meetings as appropriate and provide feedback on student progress
- Foster a positive, encouraging environment for students
