Speech Pathology Assistant - Parkville, MD
Step into an impactful role supporting students in the Baltimore area as a contract Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. This opportunity spans two supportive elementary environments, empowering young learners from PreK through 5th grade. As an integral on-site team member, you’ll collaborate with licensed speech-language pathologists and educators, delivering direct therapy and fostering students’ communication growth.
Assignment Details:
- Service required at two elementary campuses (Magnolia Elementary: 3 days/week – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; Prospect Mill Elementary: 2 days/week – Monday, Wednesday), totaling 37.5 hours per week
- Contract runs from February 16, 2026, to May 29, 2026, with a possible extension for the Extended School Year program in July
- On-site presence required to best serve students
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Active Maryland SLPA licensure
- Prior experience working with school-aged populations, especially in elementary settings, is highly valued
- Must provide images of current licensure and be prepared to complete time-sensitive credentialing, including House Bill 486 background checks, fingerprinting, and employment history review
- Availability for prescreen interviews between 9-11 a.m. and/or 2-3 p.m. EST (with flexible time slots possible)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services under supervision of an SLP
- Support implementation of IEP goals
- Collect and document student performance data
- Collaborate with teachers and related services staff
- Maintain compliance with school district and legal standards
