Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in Texas
- Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and therapy planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities when interacting with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt interventions based on individual student needs and goals
Role Responsibilities:
- Implement speech-language therapy activities as directed by a supervising SLP
- Provide direct support to students with communication challenges during scheduled sessions
- Assist in the development and execution of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Track and document student progress, regularly reporting outcomes to the supervising SLP
- Support classroom teachers in integrating communication strategies throughout the school day
- Participate in team meetings, in-service trainings, and ongoing professional development
