This assignment runs from mid-August to early June and will primarily have you supporting staff and students in one central location—with a possible second site just a short walk away. Serving diverse caseloads, primarily mild to moderate needs, and spanning likely from 4th–10th grade, you’ll amplify your skills, broaden your professional repertoire, and collaborate with dedicated teams employing a variety of innovative practices (including AAC).
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license/certification and Cs; school or healthcare SLPA experience preferred
- Experience with AAC devices preferred
- Adaptability to work with mixed caseloads (mostly mild to moderate needs)
- Willingness to support students across varying age groups (predominantly 4th–10th grade)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services as outlined in IEPs, under guidance of SLP
- Assist with AAC device implementation, student progress tracking, and documentation
- Work collaboratively with teachers and clinicians across disciplines
- Communicate effectively with students, caregivers, and team members
