Desired Skills & Experience:
- Current SLPA credentials or eligibility to practice as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Experience working in educational or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising SLPs, teachers, and families
- Comfortable adapting to a variety of student needs across K-12 grades
- Bilingual skills in Spanish and/or Portuguese are a plus, though not required
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language support to students under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist with implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Support students in achieving their communication and academic goals
- Document progress and maintain accurate records as required by school protocols
- Work collaboratively with school staff and participate in team meetings as needed
- Engage in professional development activities to enhance therapy techniques and stay current on best practices
