Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Antioch, CA
Support individuals in a school-based setting as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) under appropriate supervision. This opportunity is based in Antioch, CA, offering a contract position for the upcoming school year with potential for limited Extended School Year (ESY) involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language support services to a caseload of approximately 55 students.
- Deliver interventions and complete related documentation, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
- Maintain compliance with supervision requirements and collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Work onsite 3 to 5 days per week, following a daily schedule from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
- Support the completion and closure of IEPs by the end of the school year, which ends June 5, with possible, limited ESY involvement during summer.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification or eligibility to practice as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Willingness to work under supervision; supervision costs will be covered.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage a sizable caseload effectively.
- Ability to work on site several days per week, following the standard school day schedule.
- Experience with school-aged populations and knowledge of school-based speech therapy practices preferred.
