Exciting contract opportunity available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant eager to make a real difference in a school setting for the upcoming academic year. Support students across elementary campuses and collaborate closely with an outstanding speech department.
This position spans from late August through early June, providing consistent, school-day hours and working directly onsite across two elementary schools. With a manageable caseload of 50-60 students, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality speech and language support during the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Minnesota SLPA license in good standing (license/certification number required for consideration)
- Previous experience in school-based settings highly desired
- Skilled in providing direct and indirect speech-language support under supervision of an SLP
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Organized, flexible, and compassionate approach to student needs
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to students as specified in IEPs
- Implement activities and exercises as planned by supervising SLP
- Collect and maintain accurate data on student progress
- Participate in team meetings and contribute valuable insight on student needs
- Support generalization of skills across classrooms and school environments
- Communicate regularly with supervising SLP and school professionals
