Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active SLPA license or certification required
- Background working with children or in educational settings strongly preferred
- Understanding of speech and language development and related interventions
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative mindset and flexibility in interacting with teachers, therapists, and families
- Ability to implement session plans, follow therapy protocols, and document progress
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist with developing and executing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support data collection for progress monitoring and reporting
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities
- Document session outcomes accurately and maintain detailed records in compliance with school policies
- Foster an encouraging, inclusive atmosphere to help students meet their communication goals
- Communicate proactively with supervising SLPs, teachers, and family members about student progress
