Exciting opportunity available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This contract position provides a chance to make a direct impact on students’ success in a school setting just outside Minneapolis, MN. The assignment runs from July 6th through July 23rd, with a schedule designed for productive, focused summer learning.
Schedule Details:
- July 6 – July 9: 8:30 am – 12:30 pm (students present 9:00 am – 12:00 pm)
- July 13 – July 16: 8:30 am – 2:30 pm (students present 9:00 am – 2:00 pm)
- July 20 – July 23: 8:30 am – 2:30 pm (students present 9:00 am – 2:00 pm)
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota SLPA license required
- Experience providing speech and language services in a school environment is preferred
- Strong communication abilities with students and educational staff
- Ability to adapt therapy activities for diverse elementary school learners
- Dependable, organized, and flexible to meet student needs during summer session
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language support to elementary students under the direction of a licensed SLP
- Support communication goals, track student progress, and document session interventions
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy into classroom settings
- Adjust therapy approaches for the summer program structure and individualized student needs
- Follow all school policies, confidentiality guidelines, and professional standards
