Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Anaheim, CA

Key Requirements:
- Valid SLPA license and eligibility for school-based practice
- Previous experience in elementary schools preferred
- Comfortable working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices or willing to develop skills in this area
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and schedules as needed
- Enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations
Role Responsibilities:
- Support SLPs in providing direct and indirect speech and language services to elementary students
- Assist in the implementation of AAC devices and strategies for qualifying students
- Document student progress and collaborate with supervising SLP and school staff
- Participate in team meetings, IEPs, and professional development as directed
- Help foster a positive and inclusive environment for all students
Position Details:
- Full-time hours available: 7 hours/day, 35 hours/week initially
- Once an SLP is hired, hours will shift to 5.75 hours/day, 28.75 hours/week, with the potential for an increase to 30 hours/week pending approval
- Both roles serve elementary students, providing you with an immersive and varied caseload
