Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Alexandria, VA

Role Highlights:
- Contracted position from August 24, 2026, through June 11, 2027
- Full-time schedule: 35 hours weekly (7 hours per day) following the school calendar
- Serve students at multiple local school sites (excludes Manassas, Gainesville, Haymarket, Bristow)
- Collaborate with a supportive educational team dedicated to student growth
Desired Background & Qualifications:
- Degree in Communications or Speech-Language required
- Background in supporting speech or communication disorders in youth preferred
- SLPA license is not required in Virginia for this role
- Experience or coursework in educational or pediatric settings is a plus
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work under supervision of a SLP
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering speech and language intervention services under SLP guidance
- Provide support for student communication goals in individual and group settings
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and documentation
- Monitor student progress and collect relevant data for SLP review
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families as needed
