This opportunity focuses on the Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge areas, serving local schools where your expertise can truly shine. Starting August 24th, 2026 and extending to June 12th, 2027, you’ll enjoy a consistent 35-hour workweek, structured as 7 hours per day, and collaborate with dedicated education professionals.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Completed degree in Communications or Speech Language
- Background in school-based settings supporting students with speech or communication needs preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and student rapport
- Passion for helping children develop vital communication abilities
- Effective documentation and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language activities under the guidance of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Work directly with students in individual and group settings to enhance communication skills
- Collect and maintain data to track student progress and inform program adjustments
- Collaborate with educational staff and participate in school-based meetings as needed
- Support students across various grade levels, fostering positive learning environments
