The caseload includes children with diverse needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), cerebral palsy, and various learning disabilities. The service delivery uses a push-in model, working with 20 to 40 students to support their communication development in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans for speech and language disorders.
- Deliver speech therapy services using a push-in approach.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Support students with a range of communication challenges, including those related to ASD and cerebral palsy.
Qualifications:
- Possession of an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Language Pathologist endorsement.
- Experience working with school-age children, especially in K-5 settings.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing individualized plans for students with a variety of learning and communication disabilities.
- Ability to engage in a collaborative team environment with educators and families.
