This opportunity offers a rewarding role for a Speech Language Pathologist working onsite in Zion, IL, within a school setting. The position involves a full-time contract commitment of 37.5 hours per week, providing services to students from Kindergarten through 5th grade. The caseload includes children with diverse needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), cerebral palsy, and various learning disabilities. The service delivery uses a push-in model, working with 20 to 40 students to support their communication development in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans for speech and language disorders.
- Deliver speech therapy services using a push-in approach.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Support students with a range of communication challenges, including those related to ASD and cerebral palsy.
Qualifications:
- Possession of an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Language Pathologist endorsement.
- Experience working with school-age children, especially in K-5 settings.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing individualized plans for students with a variety of learning and communication disabilities.
- Ability to engage in a collaborative team environment with educators and families.
