A speech-language pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in the Oklahoma City area, specifically Edmond, OK, with a school-based contract position. This role focuses on providing onsite, direct services—no speech-language pathology assistants (SLPAs) will be utilized.
Ideal candidates may have experience working with elementary-aged students and managing caseloads of approximately 30-40 children. Flexibility is offered in terms of full-time or part-time hours to best suit your availability. This position is especially suited for SLPs who are comfortable working in a school environment and assisting with evaluation backlogs, as there is an immediate need to catch up on student assessments. Candidates who are current Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) participants are welcome to apply and interview.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language evaluations and therapy sessions onsite within one or two elementary schools
- Managing a caseload of 30-40 students primarily at the elementary level
- Collaborating closely with another SLP to coordinate services
- Developing individualized treatment plans to address student needs
- Maintaining documentation and progress reports in accordance with school guidelines
Preferred qualifications and skills:
- Valid SLP licensure and certification appropriate for school settings
- Experience with elementary school caseloads and educational speech-language services
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational skills to manage evaluations and student schedules efficiently
- Willingness to work onsite on a school campus; no telepractice
