Responsibilities
- Provide speech, language, and communication services to K–12 students.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals.
- Provide individual and/or group therapy as appropriate.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, families, and other professionals to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate speech and language goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and required student records.
- Consult with school staff regarding strategies to support students' communication needs in the classroom.
- Follow district policies, procedures, and applicable state and professional requirements.
- Provide services in an onsite school environment across the assigned K–12 caseload.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Michigan SLP licensure is required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous school-based experience is preferred.
- Experience working with K–12 students is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Must be comfortable working onsite.
