About the Opportunity
Ypsilanti Community Schools is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students across the district for the 2026-2027 school year. This is an onsite position serving a K-12 caseload and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student communication and academic success.
While this position is ideally full-time (37.5 hours/week), part-time candidates will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language evaluations and assessments for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred/required based on district standards
- School-based experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
