Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity providing speech-language pathology services to parochial schools throughout Monroe County. In this part-time contract role, you'll support students in achieving their communication goals for the remainder of the school year, working three days a week from February through the end of the academic term.
You'll collaborate closely with school staff, parents, and administrators to develop and implement effective therapy plans in a supportive environment that values your expertise. Whether you hold your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or are completing your Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), your skills will make a genuine difference.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Michigan SLP license (or eligibility upon hire)
- Preference for SLP-CCC; open to qualified CFY applicants
- Previous experience in a school setting, especially with K-12 students, is highly valued
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to efficiently travel to multiple parochial school sites within Monroe County
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students in accordance with established goals
- Collaborate with teachers and families to monitor student progress
- Maintain clear documentation and comply with district, state, and federal requirements
- Travel to various school sites as scheduled throughout the work week
