Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Hold current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state license to practice as an SLP in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous school-based experience, especially at the elementary level, is preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills
- Collaborative, flexible, and organized approach to providing therapy services
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students across two elementary locations
- Conduct evaluations, interpret assessment data, and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Prepare required documentation and progress notes in a timely manner
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and school policies
