An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to offer maternity leave coverage from February 22, 2027, through June 10, 2027. This contract position is based near Newport News, VA, and spans two supportive elementary school campuses—allowing you to focus your expertise and provide consistent care without overwhelming caseloads.
Qualifications:
- Active SLP license in Virginia
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous pediatric or school-based SLP experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with educational teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to elementary students at two sites
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess students’ communication abilities and track progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and consult regularly with teachers and families
- Maintain accurate records and comply with school district guidelines
- No SLPAs to supervise—allowing focus directly on student services
