Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving elementary and high school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a supportive and collaborative school environment near Yorktown, VA. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year, offering full-time hours at 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Your role may involve working across one or two school locations, providing specialized speech therapy services in diverse settings, including communication support, behavior support, or multiple disabilities classrooms.
Qualifications:
- Holds a current SLP-CCC certification, or entering your Clinical Fellowship (CF) year
- Experience in school-based or pediatric therapy preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet the needs of students in various classroom settings
- Commitment to supporting students with a wide range of communication, behavioral, and developmental needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to elementary and high school students per IEP requirements
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers, parents, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Provide support within communication, behavior, or multiple disabilities classrooms as assigned
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the student support team
