Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | York, Pennsylvania
Step into an exciting opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational environment. This contract role spans the academic year from August 18, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with a convenient 35-hour workweek. Working onsite across multiple district locations, you'll play a vital role in enhancing student communication and fostering positive academic outcomes.
Ideal candidates bring expertise in pediatric speech therapy and a passion for working with school-age children. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to deliver effective interventions and ensure every student can reach their full potential.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Pennsylvania SLP Certification and valid PA Teaching Certificate (must be submitted with your application)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience working in pediatric or school-based settings
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work onsite—remote or virtual assignments are not available for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy for students in grades K-12, addressing a spectrum of communication needs
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain timely, thorough documentation and progress reports
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and special education staff to optimize student support
- Engage with families and caregivers to promote progress beyond the classroom
