School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - York, Pennsylvania
Make a meaningful impact supporting preschool-aged children with special education needs in the New Oxford and Gettysburg region. This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding their CCC or Clinical Fellowship (with agency-provided supervision). You’ll deliver on-site SLP services to students ages 3-5 within a robust preschool program, traveling between locations in an itinerant capacity. The school is not accepting virtual candidates for this role at this time.
Enjoy a structured 188-day calendar, working from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with a maximum of 35 hours per week. You’ll have weekly allotted paperwork time and essential resources—including a laptop, iPad, subscription to LessonPix, all necessary materials, and testing kits—ensuring you have what you need to engage and support your students.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania SLP license required, submitted with your resume
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFs considered if supervision is agency-funded
- Experience or strong interest in serving preschool-aged children with special needs
- Commitment to on-site service; no virtual assignments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students ages 3-5
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with preschool staff and families for holistic support of each child
- Maintain thorough documentation and manage necessary paperwork
- Travel between assigned preschool sites within the defined geographic area
