School Speech Therapist | Douglasville, Georgia
A K-12 school in Douglasville, GA, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide exceptional support to students across all grade levels. This contract position offers the opportunity to work onsite, delivering hands-on therapy to help children achieve their communication goals. Candidates may be certified SLPs with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Speech-Language Pathologists completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and state regulations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP licensure or eligible for licensure in Georgia
- CCC from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
- Candidates currently completing their CFY are encouraged to apply
- Experience working with school-aged children K-12 is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students and staff
Location: Douglasville, Georgia (approximately 20 minutes west of Atlanta)
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, onsite only—no virtual options available
Contract Status: School Year (CSY)
Compensation:
- $81 per hour for certified SLPs with CCC
- $76 per hour for CFY candidates
