School Speech Language Pathologist - Colorado Springs, Colorado
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2026–2027 school year in Colorado Springs, CO. This contract role runs from August 11 through May 28 and serves students from kindergarten through grade 12. Candidates have flexibility in grade level placement and will work at one or two nearby sites, both less than a mile apart.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), conducting assessments, and monitoring student progress. Familiarity with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) frameworks and school-based service delivery models is important. The role requires building strong, collaborative relationships with students, families, and staff, and maintaining a flexible, student-centered, and solution-oriented approach.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is preferred
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license with Special Services endorsement or ability to obtain
- Experience in an educational setting working with students preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
- Perform speech and language assessments and track progress regularly
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student success within MTSS frameworks
- Provide direct services to students in individual or group sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with educational standards
