Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Virginia SLP license
- Demonstrated experience in school settings, particularly with elementary students
- Comfortable managing an elementary caseload as a solo SLP on campus
- Complete all time-sensitive onboarding requirements, including a TB test and a district background check conducted on-site with HR
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations for elementary students
- Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Offer direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with classroom teachers and faculty
- Engage with families and staff to support each student's communication goals
This is an on-site, half-time contract position, working approximately 18.75 hours each week for the academic year. You'll join a supportive educational environment where your specialized skills are truly valued.
