Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Current and active Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Knowledge of best practices for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders in elementary-aged children
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work on-site and collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
- Willingness to complete a district-required TB test and background check on-site
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to elementary students
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers to support student goals
- Engage with parents and guardians regarding progress and strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district and state requirements
