Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Virginia SLP license required
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong collaborative skills for working with teachers, families, and support staff
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and document progress
- District requires completion of a TB test and on-site background check (facilitated with HR)
- Excellent communication, organization, and adaptability to support a diverse elementary caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech/language therapy to elementary-aged students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with families, educators, and special service teams
- Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in team meetings as required
