Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Woodbridge, NJ
Exciting full-time opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologists seeking contract roles for the Fall 2026 school term in the greater Woodbridge, NJ area. Three SLPs are needed to cover maternity leave assignments for a 12-week period, beginning September. These positions offer more than 35 hours per week and are based onsite within elementary schools serving preschool through fifth-grade students, with a strong focus on high Autism populations. Settings are dynamic and supportive, providing a meaningful professional experience for those passionate about enriching young learners’ communication abilities.
Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey SLP License required
- Valid NJ Speech-Language Specialist (SLS) Certification mandatory
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong consideration given to these candidates
- Clinical Fellows (CFs) welcome with external supervision arrangements (district does not provide supervision)
- School-based or pediatric experience desired, especially with Autism populations
- SLPAs cannot be considered for these openings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to elementary students, including those in preschool and with Autism
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and track student progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families to deliver integrated care
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and case conferences as needed
