SLP in Winston, OR
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting children’s communication development in educational settings. This assignment begins around July 27, 2026, and runs through January 29, 2027 (full-time, 40 hours per week), covering two FMLA leaves. You'll begin by providing Early Intervention services, then transition to work with the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) population.
Your expertise will be vital across two distinct settings: The first assignment, running July through October, focuses on Early Intervention services delivered primarily in home-based environments. You'll be paired with another therapist to ensure collaborative, effective care for young children and their families. From November through January, you’ll move into ECSE, providing services at learning centers—primarily in the Roseburg area, with occasional travel to other parts of Douglas County.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license or eligibility for licensure in the state
- Prior experience in Early Intervention and/or ECSE settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Ability to adapt to a variety of service delivery settings
- Passion for supporting diverse learners and families
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in young children
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals for holistic care
- Document progress and maintain compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines
- Travel to home settings (first assignment) and centers across the area (second assignment)
- Partner with another therapist in Early Intervention to maximize outcomes
