Step into a rewarding opportunity making a difference in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist, working with K-12 caseloads across multiple schools in the Winsted, CT area. This full-time, contract position runs from ASAP through June 2027, and you’ll collaborate as part of a team of dedicated SLPs to support students’ communication and academic success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Skilled in assessment, intervention, and development of IEPs for K-12 students
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload, working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Must be available for in-person work; remote or teletherapy options are not available
- Flexibility to work across multiple school sites as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students with varied speech and language needs
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and contribute to eligibility determinations
- Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and maintain thorough documentation
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
- Provide support and education on communication strategies within the school community
This role offers a steady schedule of 35-37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic educational team. As further details become available, the position may be updated to better reflect specific needs and caseload assignment.
