Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Windsor Locks, CT

Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP); candidates with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) are strongly encouraged to apply
- Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants seeking hands-on experience in a school environment
- Demonstrated experience in pediatric speech therapy, preferably in school-based or healthcare settings
- Skilled in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders in children
- Strong collaboration skills alongside educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Responsibilities in This Role:
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs following educational best practices
- Create and deliver individualized therapy plans, integrating them within classroom activities
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and district policies
- Offer training, resources, and support to teachers and caregivers as needed
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to enhance student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate students’ needs effectively with all stakeholders
