Qualifications & Preferred Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Connecticut state licensure or eligibility
- Experience in pediatric or school settings is highly valued
- Knowledge of best practices in assessment, intervention, and documentation
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech/language assessments for students, including case reviews and individualized recommendations
- Develop and implement targeted therapy plans in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct speech/language therapy for children with a range of communication needs
- Maintain accurate case notes and progress reports
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and allied professionals to ensure consistent support
- Attend relevant meetings and contribute to the school’s multidisciplinary team
