School-Based SLP | Strasburg, Virginia
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the upcoming school year, providing impactful speech-language pathology services within a supportive educational environment. This onsite position is perfect for experienced SLPs or motivated Clinical Fellows ready to make a difference in students’ communication and learning success.
Beginning July 27th, 2026 and concluding May 28th, 2027, you’ll be embedded in local school communities, working a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week). Collaborate with passionate education professionals and help create pathways for student achievement in speech and language skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the state of Virginia
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, Clinical Fellows (CFYs) also welcome
- Experience in school settings is advantageous
- Proven ability to adapt services to diverse student populations
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to onsite work during the academic year
Expected Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide individual/group therapy for students with a range of speech and language needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, parents, and support staff to implement IEPs and student-specific goals
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services and progress
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and professional development meetings as necessary
- Support student engagement and inclusion in classroom and school activities
