Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP-CCC certification required
- Michigan licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- School-based experience strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of supporting elementary-aged learners with speech and language needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct intervention for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to share strategies for supporting student success
- Provide both direct and consultative services to non-public schools as required by the district
- Maintain timely, accurate records of student progress and services delivered
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable expertise to student support teams
