This contract position involves working 35 hours per week throughout the 26-27 school year, focusing on helping students develop vital communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver speech-language therapy targeting assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and receptive and expressive language delays.
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing tailored to individual student needs.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive reports reflecting student assessments and observations.
- Work effectively with students aged 2 to 22 who have moderate to severe disabilities.
- Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives.
- Collaborate with parents and colleagues to discuss student progress and identify areas requiring support.
Qualifications:
- Must hold or qualify for an Indiana Professional License (IPLA) and a teaching license from the Department of Education (IDOE).
- Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience as an SLP.
- Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Flexibility and strong problem-solving abilities are essential.
