You’ll play a pivotal role in helping K-12th grade students overcome communication challenges, working with staff and families to empower learners across multiple school sites.
As part of this contract, you’ll be scheduled for 35 hours weekly, beginning in January and continuing through the end of the school year to cover a leave. The role involves traveling between schools, offering a rich and varied professional experience as you support students of all ages and backgrounds.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC, or as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Confidence in working independently across multiple sites
- Strong interpersonal, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with students from kindergarten through high school
- Reliable means of transportation and willingness to travel within the area
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students identified with communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, maintain timely documentation, and monitor student progress
- Adapt intervention plans based on student needs and IEP specifications
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
