Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist in Westbrook, ME
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a school-based role near Waterboro, Maine. This contract position is ideal for an SLP with strong experience in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) who enjoys working with elementary students in a supportive educational setting.
Location: Onsite near Waterboro, ME
Schedule: Full time
Assignment Type: Contract through the end of the current school year
Grade Levels: Elementary
Schools Assigned: 1–2 campuses
Travel: Mileage reimbursement provided for required travel between sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language assessments, evaluations, and provide direct therapy services
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate effectively with school staff and families
- Manage progress reporting and maintain documentation according to district protocols (training provided)
- Utilize the district’s special education documentation system for accurate record-keeping
- Provide specialized support for students who use AAC devices
Qualifications:
- Active Maine SLP license required
- Proven experience with AAC devices
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
