A specialized opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist is available for the Extended School Year (ESY) program in Ludlow, Massachusetts. This part-time travel assignment supports high school students within a distinctive educational setting designed for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. The program emphasizes personalized and supportive instruction aimed at fostering skills for greater independence.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing AAC-related services to high school students, with a focus on communication support (experience with AAC service preferred; AAC evaluations not required)
- Collaborating with the educational team to implement individualized speech-language interventions
- Supporting students in a non-traditional, specialized learning environment known as the Compass High Program
- Maintaining compliance with state-required credentials and educational standards
Qualifications:
- Valid State licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or equivalent school-based certification)
- Experience working with adolescents, particularly those with ASD or similar learning differences, preferred
- Skills in augmentative and alternative communication services helpful for success in this role
- Ability to work 15-20 hours per week, spread over 2-3 days during the summer ESY session (July 6, 2026 – August 7, 2026)

- Position is in Ludlow, MA; the client’s main office is located in West Springfield, MA
- Travel assignment with a focus on summer program delivery
