A temporary Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the Extended School Year (ESY) program at a high school in Ludlow, MA. This role supports the Compass High Program, a specialized setting for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences, emphasizing personalized education and skill-building for independence outside traditional environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language services, including AAC support, to high school students with ASD and other learning needs
  • Collaborate with educational staff to tailor interventions that promote communication and independence
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to student-centered planning

Qualifications:

  • Current SLP licensure meeting state requirements
  • Experience working with high school students, particularly those with ASD
  • Competency in AAC support services (direct AAC evaluations not required)
  • Ability to work 15-20 hours per week, 2-3 days on site during the ESY period of 7/6/2026 – 8/7/2026

Location & Schedule:

  • Position located in Ludlow, MA
  • Assignment entails travel from the client’s main office in West Springfield to the Ludlow school site
  • Flexible part-time schedule during the ESY summer window
