Speech Language Pathologist in West Hartford, CT

Expect a dynamic workweek of 35 hours, where your expertise will be highly valued as you serve elementary caseloads—potentially dividing your time between two school sites.
Your advanced clinical skills and knowledge will help foster communication development and academic success for young learners. Candidates with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are especially encouraged to contribute their expertise, but those completing their Clinical Fellowship (CF) will also be considered, with a supervising SLP designated when possible.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Connecticut SLP license (upfront licensure is ideal)
- School-based SLP experience (elementary caseload experience a plus)
- CCC-SLP preferred, but open to strong CF candidates with supervision provided
- Willingness and ability to work onsite across two school settings if necessary
- Must complete district fingerprinting and background check
- SLPAs are not eligible for this position
- Prepared for a Zoom interview as part of the hiring process
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders within the school setting
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and attend IEP meetings as required
- Manage a diverse caseload and navigate working across multiple locations
