Travel School Speech Therapist - Watkins, Colorado
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a travel assignment in Watkins, CO, serving K-8 students in a school setting. This role offers 20 hours per week onsite from ASAP through the end of the school year, providing a unique opportunity to support diverse student communication needs within an educational environment.
Responsibilities include collaborating closely with the Special Education Teacher to develop daily schedules, coordinate testing, and plan annual IEP meetings. The SLP will maintain updated speech and language caseload lists to ensure accurate tracking within the special education roster. Delivering specially designed instruction through resource room, inclusion, or pullout services tailored to individual student needs is a core part of this role. Additionally, fostering collaboration with staff and families to support student progress and achieve IEP goals is essential.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with at-risk or special education students preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
