Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Waterford, WI
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, covering a maternity leave from September through November. This full-time position offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students while collaborating within a supportive school environment. The role is exclusively onsite, providing direct engagement with students and staff for optimal outcomes.
We welcome dynamic professionals who hold their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), are completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), or have relevant pediatric or school-based experience. Strong candidates with an SLP Assistant background may also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state license for SLP practice
- CCC-SLP credential, or in the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience in pediatric, elementary, or school settings
- Skilled in evaluation, treatment planning, and progress monitoring for diverse communication needs
- Knowledge of school-based processes, including IEP meetings and documentation
- Effective communicator, collaborative approach with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Comfortable working onsite within a school environment
- Experience with teletherapy is valued, but not required for this onsite assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to an elementary student caseload
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Support generalization of communication skills in classroom settings
- Maintain clear and timely records in compliance with school and state guidelines
