Speech Language Pathologist in New Britain, CT
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a school setting located in New Britain, CT. This contract role begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year, with the potential to renew for the 2026-2027 academic year based on performance and fit. The position offers a 36.25-hour workweek, providing services across grades K-12.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to 6-8 students distributed across 2-3 classrooms
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Complete documentation and progress reports as required
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist licensure for school settings
- Experience working with children across K-12 grade levels
- Ability to manage caseload independently without support from Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
