Step into a rewarding opportunity providing speech-language pathology services to elementary students in a vibrant school community near Winterville, NC. This full-time contract runs from April 17, 2026, through June 10, 2026, offering steady weekday hours (7:45 am – 3:15 pm, 37.5 hours per week). You’ll have a manageable caseload of approximately 50 PreK-5th grade students with a wide range of communication disorders, ensuring your days are meaningful and engaging.
Your week will be split between two schools, with four days at one site and one day at another, allowing you to build strong connections with students and staff. You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering effective therapy sessions, as well as conducting screenings and evaluations as needed to support student success.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current CCC-SLP certification
- Experience working in school settings, ideally with elementary-aged children
- Strong knowledge of pediatric communication disorders and best practices in assessment and therapy
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to individual student needs
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to elementary students with a variety of communication disorders
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations as required
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, collaborating with teachers and support staff
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation
