School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Washington, Illinois

This contract role is based in a single, close-knit school building, serving students from PreK through 22 years old. Most students have a primary diagnosis of autism, but you'll also work with those managing emotional and intellectual disabilities. The small class sizes and collaborative environment provide an ideal setting for effective therapy and individualized attention.
Both full-time and part-time applications are welcome. As the solo SLP onsite, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the communication skills and confidence of diverse learners.
Skills & Qualifications:
- SLP-CCC certification required
- Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) mandatory
- Previous experience in a school or therapeutic setting is an advantage
- Prepared to provide services for a wide age range and with various disabilities
- Strong communication, organization, and independent decision-making skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessments, interventions, and ongoing therapy tailored to students’ IEPs
- Consult and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Support teachers and staff with strategies to foster student communication
- Progress-monitor and document student outcomes effectively
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all learners
